July Wedding in Auburn, AL

Matthew and Kerissa exchanged their vows at the Marriott at Grand National on Sunday, and it was such a beautiful day for a wedding! It was the first day I remember in several weeks with no threat of thunderstorms, and I think the heat even let up a bit for them. It was such a fun, easy day that was all about them! I love it when my couples aren't afraid to break with tradition and make choices that reflect who they are as a couple - just wait til you see their cake! They chose not to have a bridal party, so we had plenty of time for an extended first look and portraits, so get ready for an exceedingly sweet, precious Matthew and Kerissa overload. Not gonna lie, I had to fight off tears editing some of these.

Matthew and Kerissa shared a private first look followed by their personal vows. I tried to cull this down more, but honestly this is my favorite moment and this is only some of the photos, so just humor me, okay? And maybe grab some tissue because...

Right after the first look, we moved into their first round of portraits.

Okay, the high five. Seriously? Precious.

The Ceremony

With the sun just a little in their eyes, the Helms made their vows and shared in their first communion as husband and wife, surrounded by family and friends. After the ceremony, we moved inside to have breakfast for dinner with donuts and cookie cake for dessert! The bride and groom shared a private dinner (another favorite detail I'm seeing more and more couples do) and their first dance before heading back outside for more portraits and their bubble exit. Then after more dancing, Matthew ended the night by inviting Kerissa to dance with him one more time.

Matthew and Kerissa, thank you for allowing me to celebrate with you and be a small part of such a beautiful day, and thank you to all of the vendors who made it happen!
